4 And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables. 8 For laying aside the commandment of GodGod: Θεός (Theos). The Greek Theos (Θεός) refers to deity, used both for the one true God and false gods. Context determines whether it denotes the Father specifically or the Godhead generally., ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

16 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

The Syrophoenician Woman's Faith

25 For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spiritSpirit: πνεῦμα (Pneuma). The Greek pneuma (πνεῦμα) means spirit, wind, or breath—the immaterial aspect of persons. The Holy Spirit (Pneuma Hagion) is the third person of the Trinity, dwelling in believers., heard of him, and came and fell at his feet: Parallel theme: Matthew 15:22

26 The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter. Evil: Matthew 15:22. Parallel theme: Isaiah 49:12

28 And she answered and said unto him, Yes, LordLord: Κύριος (Kurios). The Greek Kurios (Κύριος) means 'lord' or 'master,' used both for human masters and divinely for God the Father and Jesus Christ. Jesus Heals a Deaf Man

34 And looking up to heavenHeaven: οὐρανός (Ouranos). The Greek ouranos (οὐρανός) denotes heaven—God's throne and the believer's eternal home. Jesus taught His disciples to pray 'Our Father which art in heaven' (Matthew 6:9) and promised to prepare a place there (John 14:2)., he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
