God's Faithfulness

Never Leave nor Forsake

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Hebrews 13:5

· · ·

The writer urges contentment, reminding us that God promised never to leave or forsake us, eliminating our deepest fear.

The command to be content without loving money rests on God's promise of presence. If God never leaves us, we have the one resource that matters most. Material provision may fluctuate, but God's faithful presence remains constant. He is the provision that guarantees all other provision - not necessarily giving us everything we want, but always being everything we need.

When money worries surface today, counter them by affirming God's promise: 'He will never leave me or forsake me.'

Ever-present God, You promise never to leave or forsake me. Free me from love of money and fear of lack by filling me with confidence in Your faithful, constant presence in my life. Amen.
