AbundanceNo Good Thing Withheld
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
The psalmist declares that God is both sun and shield, giving grace and glory while withholding no good thing from the upright.
God provides light for guidance and protection from danger. He gives both grace for today and glory for eternity. The promise that He withholds no good thing doesn't mean we get everything we want, but that God never keeps from us what is truly good for us. His wisdom knows what we need better than we do.
For Today
Trust today that if something is missing from your life, God in His wisdom knows it's either not truly good for you or not the right time.
Prayer
Lord, You are my sun and shield, my source of grace and glory. Help me trust that You withhold no good thing from me, and that what I lack is protected by Your perfect wisdom and love. Amen.
