Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
James reminds us that every good and perfect gift descends from the Father of lights, who never changes or shifts like shadows.
In a world of constant change and uncertainty, God remains absolutely consistent in His generous character. Every blessing we receive comes from Him, and unlike earthly sources that dry up or disappoint, God never varies in His goodness. His gifts are both good in quality and perfect in timing.

Count three blessings in your life today and thank God as the unchanging source of every good thing you have.
