ProvisionHonor with Firstfruits
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
Solomon instructs us to honor the Lord with our wealth and the firstfruits of all our increase, establishing God's priority.
Giving God the firstfruits - not the leftovers - demonstrates that we trust Him as our source. When we honor Him first with our resources, we acknowledge His ownership of everything. This isn't a transaction but a relationship of trust and gratitude that recognizes God's provision precedes our response.
For Today
Give to God first today - whether time in prayer, money in giving, or energy in service - before other demands consume your resources.
Prayer
Lord, You deserve the first and best of all I have. Help me honor You with my resources, giving You priority in my finances and my life, trusting Your continued provision. Amen.
