Our capacity to love originates not from within ourselves but from God's prior love for us.
We do not generate love independently; we can only love because God first loved us. This truth liberates us from the pressure to manufacture love through willpower alone. God's love flows into us and then through us to others.
For Today
Before trying to love someone today, first spend time reflecting on how deeply God has loved you, then let His love overflow to others.
Prayer
Thank You, God, for loving me first. Fill my heart with Your love so completely that it naturally flows out to everyone I encounter today. Amen.
