JoyWorking for the Lord
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Our daily work becomes an act of worship when we do it for the Lord rather than for human approval.
This verse transforms ordinary labor into sacred service. Whether we're changing diapers, writing code, teaching students, or any other task, doing it wholeheartedly for the Lord elevates it beyond mere duty. The joy of Advent reminds us that Christ came to redeem all of life, including our work. We serve the Lord who first served us by taking on human flesh.

Approach your tasks today—even the mundane ones—as service to the Lord Jesus, working with wholehearted enthusiasm.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me work wholeheartedly at everything I do today, as though working for You rather than for human approval. Let my labor be an act of worship. Amen.
