Magnifying God's name through thanksgiving and praise brings Him glory and transforms our perspective.

Even in distress, David commits to praise God's name with song and magnify Him with thanksgiving. To magnify means to make large in our view. Thanksgiving doesn't make God bigger, but it enlarges our perception of His greatness. When we praise God's name with gratitude, we shift our focus from our problems to His power, from our limitations to His limitless resources.
