Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Union with Christ doesn't just improve us—it makes us entirely new creations.
The old life with its guilt, shame, and slavery to sin has passed away. Something entirely new has come: a new identity, new nature, new desires, and new destiny. This transformation isn't gradual improvement but radical re-creation. Just as God spoke creation into existence, He speaks new life into those who are in Christ through faith.
