AdventThe Radiance of Glory
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Christ is not merely a messenger from God but the exact representation of God's very being.
As radiance relates to light, so Christ relates to God—inseparable and of the same essence. He sustains all things by His powerful word, maintaining creation's order moment by moment. After accomplishing purification for sins through His sacrifice, He sat down at God's right hand, signifying completed work and divine authority.

Let the wonder of Christ's divine nature and completed work wash over you today—the One who sustains the universe also purified you from sin.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, radiance of God's glory and exact representation of His being, we worship You. Thank You for sustaining all things and purifying our sins. Amen.
