Trusting in the Lord surpasses trusting in any human being, no matter how capable.
This verse makes a comparative statement: it is better - more advantageous, wiser, safer - to trust in God than in people. Humans fail, disappoint, and have limited power. God never fails, always keeps His promises, and has unlimited power. This doesn't mean we trust no one, but that our ultimate trust must be in God alone.

Evaluate where you've placed ultimate trust in people rather than God, and realign your trust accordingly.
Prayer
Lord, forgive me for times I've trusted people more than You. Help me place my ultimate confidence in You alone. Amen.
