Blessed Trust

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

Jeremiah 17:7

Jeremiah declares that those who trust in the Lord are truly blessed.

This verse contrasts with the curse pronounced on those who trust in man. When the Lord is our confidence, we have an unshakeable foundation. Blessings flow not from our circumstances but from the object of our trust. Trusting in God rather than human strength or wisdom positions us to receive His favor and guidance.

For Today

Examine where you've been placing confidence in people or systems rather than in God, and consciously shift your trust to Him.

Prayer

Lord, I want to be blessed by trusting in You alone. Forgive me for placing confidence in anything or anyone above You. Be my hope and confidence. Amen.
