Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
God often provides direction through the wisdom of multiple godly counselors.
While God can and does speak to us directly, He frequently provides guidance through the wisdom of mature believers. Where there is no wise counsel, people and plans fall, but in the multitude of godly advisors there is safety and clarity. Pride makes us think we can navigate alone, but wisdom seeks input from those who walk with God.
For Today
Identify a decision where you need direction and seek counsel from two or three mature believers who know God's Word well.
Prayer
Lord, protect me from the pride of going it alone. Lead me to wise counselors and help me receive their guidance with humility. Amen.
