Divine Direction

A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Proverbs 16:9

· · ·

We make plans, but ultimate direction comes from the Lord who sees what we cannot.

This verse balances human responsibility with divine sovereignty. We should plan wisely and think ahead, but we must hold our plans loosely, recognizing that God may redirect our steps. His direction is not a limitation but a blessing, as He sees obstacles, opportunities, and outcomes we cannot perceive.

Make your plans for the day but remain flexible, watching for ways God might redirect your steps toward His better purposes.

Lord, I bring my plans before You and ask You to direct my steps according to Your perfect will. Guide me in Your way. Amen.
