Help and Shield

Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.

Psalms 115:11

Those who fear the Lord demonstrate their reverence through trusting Him as helper and shield.

This verse connects the fear of the Lord with trust in Him. True reverence for God naturally produces trust because we recognize His power and goodness. God is both our help in trouble and our shield in danger. He actively assists us and protectively defends us when we trust in Him.
