The Lord Is Light

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

David's rhetorical questions reveal a truth: when the Lord is your light and salvation, fear has no grounds to stand on.

Light dispels darkness, and salvation secures our destiny. When God Himself becomes our stronghold, who could possibly threaten us? This is not naive optimism but confident faith in the character and power of our God. He illuminates our path, saves us from our enemies, and becomes the fortress where we find refuge.

Declare this truth aloud today: The Lord is my light and salvation—I will not fear anyone or anything.

Prayer

Lord, You are my light in darkness and my salvation from danger. You are the stronghold of my life. I choose to fear nothing because You are everything. Amen.
