Jesus modeled the discipline of early morning prayer in solitary places.
Rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus departed and went out to a desolate place, and there He prayed. If Jesus needed time alone with the Father, how much more do we? He prioritized prayer over sleep, ministry, and crowds. The desolate place provided freedom from distractions. Early morning prayer sets the tone for the entire day.
For Today
Set aside time early tomorrow morning for prayer, following Jesus's example of seeking solitude with the Father.
Prayer
Jesus, teach me to pray as You did. Help me rise early to meet with the Father in solitude, prioritizing prayer above all else. Amen.
