A Moabite woman who married into an Israelite family. After her husband died, Ruth chose to stay with her mother-in-law Naomi, returning to Bethlehem and declaring Naomi's God as her own. Through God's providence, Ruth married Boaz, a kinsman-redeemer, and became the great-grandmother of King David. Her story demonstrates covenant loyalty and God's inclusion of Gentiles.
