Generation 24 from Adam · Ancestor of Jesus Christ
Biography
The older daughter of Laban, Leah was given to Jacob through deception on his wedding night when he expected Rachel. Though unloved by Jacob, God blessed her with six sons and a daughter. Despite the pain of being second choice, Leah became the mother of Judah, through whom the Messiah would come.
Leah's story shows God's compassion for the unloved and rejected. Despite human rejection, God chose her line for the Messiah.
