And Chaldea shall be a spoil—Chaldea (כַּשְׂדִּים, Kasdim) refers to southern Mesopotamia, Babylon's heartland. The term 'spoil' (meshissah, מְשִׁסָּה, plunder, booty) indicates comprehensive looting.
