The Beautiful Garden

God made a special garden called Eden for Adam to live in. It was the most beautiful place ever! There were pretty flowers everywhere, fruit trees with delicious food, and a river running through it.

God gave Adam an important job: take care of the garden and name all the animals! Adam named the elephants and the butterflies and the puppies and the birds. What a fun job!

But Adam was a little lonely. He didn't have anyone like him to be his friend. So God made Adam fall into a deep, deep sleep.

While Adam slept, God took one of his ribs and made a woman! When Adam woke up and saw her, he was so happy! 'She's just right!' Adam said. He named her Eve.

Adam and Eve lived together in the beautiful garden. They talked with God every day. They ate yummy fruit from the trees. They played with the animals. Everything was perfect and happy!

God told them, 'You can eat from any tree except ONE—the tree in the middle. Don't eat from that one.' And at first, they didn't.
