The Man Who Could Finally See
A Bible Story for Kids
There was a man who had been blind since the day he was born. He'd NEVER seen anything—not colors, not faces, not the sky. He sat by the road and begged for money.
Jesus and His disciples walked by. The disciples asked, 'Teacher, why was this man born blind? Did he sin? Did his parents sin?'
Jesus said, 'Neither! This happened so everyone can see God do something amazing. I am the Light of the World.'
Then Jesus did something surprising. He spit on the ground and made mud. He put the mud right on the blind man's eyes!
'Go wash in the Pool of Siloam,' Jesus told him.
The man went and washed his face...
And he could SEE! For the first time in his entire life, he could SEE!
Can you imagine? Colors! Faces! Trees! The sky! Everything was new and amazing!
People couldn't believe it. 'Is that the blind beggar?'
'It can't be!' 'Yes it is!' 'No way!'
The man kept saying, 'IT'S ME! I was blind, but now I SEE!'
The religious leaders didn't like this miracle. They asked questions over and over, trying to find something wrong.
But the man just said, 'I don't know everything. But I know this: I was blind, and now I can see!'
Later, Jesus found the man. 'Do you believe in the Son of God?'
'Who is He? I want to believe!'
'You're looking at Him,' Jesus said. 'I'm the One.'
The man fell down and worshiped Jesus. He could see with his eyes AND with his heart!
