Daniel Sees the Future

When Daniel was older, God gave him amazing dreams and visions! God wanted to show Daniel what would happen in the future—not just next week or next year, but hundreds and thousands of years later!

In one dream, Daniel saw four strange beasts coming out of the ocean. There was a lion with eagle wings, a lopsided bear, a leopard with four heads, and a super scary beast with iron teeth! These beasts stood for different kingdoms that would rule the world.

But then Daniel looked up and saw something WONDERFUL! He saw God's throne room in heaven! God was sitting on a throne that was on FIRE, with wheels blazing! He was called 'the Ancient of Days' because He's been alive forever. His clothes were white as snow, and His hair was white like wool. Thousands and thousands of angels stood around Him!

Then Daniel saw someone special: 'One like the Son of Man'—that's Jesus! He came to God's throne riding on the clouds. God gave Him a kingdom that would NEVER END! Every person from every nation would worship Him!

In another vision, an angel named Gabriel came to Daniel. Gabriel explained that all these visions were about the END TIMES—what would happen before Jesus comes back.

Daniel prayed a lot. One time, while he was praying about when God's people could go back to Jerusalem, Gabriel came again! He told Daniel about the Messiah who would come to save people from their sins. That Messiah was Jesus!

In Daniel's last big vision, he saw a man dressed in shining linen—maybe it was Jesus before He was born as a baby! The man's face was like lightning, and his eyes were like flaming torches! Daniel was so scared he fell down!

But the man touched Daniel and made him strong. He told Daniel about angels fighting battles we can't see. He told him about an angel named Michael who protects God's people. And he told him that one day, everyone who loves God will rise from the dead and shine like stars forever!

God told Daniel, 'Seal up this vision. It's about things far in the future. But you, Daniel, you will rest. And at the end of time, you'll rise again!'

Daniel learned that God knows the whole future! God is in control of everything! And one day, God's kingdom will win, and everyone who loves God will live with Him forever and ever!
